A simple example
Say a friend sends you a Weidian link for a jacket. You cannot easily pay that seller from abroad, and the seller does not ship internationally. Here is what happens with Lovegobuy:
- You paste the Weidian URL into the link converter and open the resulting Lovegobuy page.
- You look through the photos, pick your size after comparing the chart with a jacket you own, and choose the colour.
- You pay Lovegobuy for the jacket. That covers the item and the seller's delivery to Lovegobuy's warehouse in China.
- The seller sends the jacket to the warehouse, and Lovegobuy photographs it.
- You check the photos, then either ship the jacket alone or wait for more items to combine.
- You choose a shipping line and pay for international delivery.
The same steps apply to Taobao, Tmall and 1688 links.
What makes each marketplace a little different
Weidian listings come from small independent shops, often the ones shared in community spreadsheets. Product URLs include an itemID.
Taobao and Tmall are large consumer marketplaces. Product URLs include an id number.
1688 is a wholesale site. It can require a minimum number of pieces or show prices that change with quantity. Product URLs look like /offer/number.html.
Things worth knowing before the first order
- The price on our site is a reference from our last check; Lovegobuy shows the live price.
- Sizes are often smaller than European or American sizes. Compare measurements, not labels.
- If option names are confusing, a short order note tells Lovegobuy exactly which one you want.
- International shipping is always a separate payment, made after your items have arrived at the warehouse.
